The latest "sorta famous women sitting in a semi-circle talking about things they know little about" daytime show is called "The Talk." You probably know lots more about it then I do. It looks like "The View" which I have seen only in clips – the clips that arrive couched in "can you believe [insert semi-famous women I probably have never heard of] said this about breastfeeding!" outrage. Barbara Walters' comments in 2005 on not wanting to sit next to a woman breastfeeding on a plane is probably the most famous and led to protests outside the network studios. I think Babs learned her lesson. Personally, my favorite part of that whole incident was Jimmy Kimmel's take on it:

I love that discussion! I was making a visit as an LC to a new program we have that will provide onsite lactation assistance at a low income clinic just a couple of days ago. We were having an open house to make people aware of our services. A mom came by on her way to get her WIC check and stopped to talk to us. She had tears in her eyes as she told us about having to wean her babies early because she was only given 10 minutes (total) to pump – nearly impossible. Her employer harassed her, telling her to stop taking such long breaks. She was unable to maintain her milk supply so felt compelled to wean. She said she cried and cried when it happened. For so many women, breastfeeding is about more than feeding a baby. It is a relationship, a relationship which is altered and sometimes broken by workplace conditions for low income women.
